A new update has been released for Cyotek WebCopy bringing it to 1.0.2.0.
This update changes the project format from XML to binary, reducing file sizes and the time it takes to open and load projects. While it will also resolve the "hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character" exception that some users were experiencing, as no details to date have been provided for reproducing the error we can't be certain that the underlying issue has been resolved.
An experimental new option has also been added. The sitemap tree view will now highlight new or changed links in an alternate color.
A number of other bug and interface tweaks have been included in this build.
We are currently working on improving the error reporting experience, however if any user of WebCopy does experience a crash, any details that can be provided on the cause of the crash would be gratefully appreciated.
